Social Media Content Specialist

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Social Media Content Specialist based in Manly, NSW.


We’re looking for a content creator who lives and breathes short form video & storytelling.

You will create, edit and conceptualise reels, photos and stories across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. This is a hands-on creative role focused on producing high volume, high impact content that builds an audience, drives engagement and grows the Smuggling community.

You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Partnerships team to bring campaigns to life through video first storytelling.


This role is built around making great content. Fast. Often And in line with the Budgy tone and managing the schedule of when it is uploaded and how the community engages with it.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


• Own the creation of short form video across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube

• Concept, storyboard, shoot and edit reels, stories and native platform content

• Capture photo and video content in office, on location and at events

• Turn product drops, collabs and moments into scroll stopping content

• Develop repeatable content formats and creative series

• Work closely with Partnerships to feature ambassadors and creators in content

• Collaborate with Paid Media to create content suitable for ads

• Maintain strong visual consistency and brand tone across all output


Creative Ideation

• Bring new ideas weekly that push Budgy forward creatively

• Translate campaign briefs into engaging video concepts

• Jump on trends quickly and adapt them to the Budgy tone

• Create reactive content around sport, culture and brand moments


Community & Culture

• Create content that sparks conversation and participation

• Highlight user generated content within creative executions

• Stay across trends, sounds and emerging formats


Performance & Optimisation

Review performance of content and adjust formats accordingly

• Test hooks, edits, captions and formats to improve engagement

• Share insights that help shape future creative direction


Trend & Market Focus

Stay ahead of platform updates, viral formats, and emerging content styles

Use culture, humour and community trends to produce authentic and engaging content

Knowledge, Skills and Experien

Essential:

• Strong portfolio of short form video content

• Confident shooting and editing on mobile and camera

• Proficient in CapCut, InShot, Premiere or equivalent

• Deep understanding of TikTok and Reels native behaviour

• Strong copywriting for hooks, captions and on screen text

• Comfortable being on camera or directing talent

• Organised and able to manage shoots and deadlines

This is less about scheduling posts and more about producing content that people actually want to watch.


Preferred:

  • Background in content strategy or social media management
  • Experience in lifestyle, swimwear or fashion brands
  • Experience with growing international audiences

Customer Service Sales Specialist

Role Description

The Customer Service Sales Specialist delivers exceptional customer service to our inbound Custom Swimwear enquiries channel. They are a problem solver and the role builds the smuggling family through interactions that make people feel good, while promptly solving and converting their enquiries.


The role is responsible for guiding customers from enquiry through to completion of custom swimwear orders. The role combines great customer service with strong sales instincts, working closely with our Design and Production teams to make sure every order runs seamlessly.


Inbound Enquiries & Sales Conversion

  • Manage all inbound enquiries for custom swimwear orders
  • Respond to new enquiries quickly, clearly and enthusiastically
  • Guide customers through the full custom order journey, including:
  • Understanding requirements and timelines
  • Submitting design requests
  • Coordinating revisions
  • Invoicing and payment follow-up
  • Confidently convert enquiries into confirmed, paid orders

Customer Journey Ownership

  • Own each customer relationship from first enquiry through to order completion
  • Work closely with Design & Production to ensure accurate, timely delivery
  • Set clear expectations with customers around timelines and next steps
  • Proactively follow up to keep orders moving forward

KPIs & Performance Expectations

  • Maintain a 50% conversion rate on inbound enquiries.
  • First response time: all new enquiries responded to within 18 hours
  • Ensure “Design Done” status is cleared daily and designs are sent to customers promptly
  • Maintain a clean inbox - every enquiry receives a response.

Follow-up cadence:

  • Designs sent → follow up if no response after 3 days
  • Invoiced → follow up if no response after 3 days

Custom Swimwear Logistics Support

  • From time to time, you may also be required to assist with getting orders out the door, including:
  • Collecting completed orders from production
  • Sorting and preparing orders for dispatch
  • Sending custom swimwear directly to customers

Customer Feedback & Reporting

  • Capture customer feedback and identify common questions or friction points
  • Use insights to help improve the customer experience and sales process
  • Prepare weekly reports on inbound Custom Swimwear performance, including:
  • Enquiries received
  • Designs completed/sent
  • Invoices issued (quantity & value)
  • Payments received (quantity & value)
  • Share insights and improvement ideas with the wider team



Experience / Qualifications

Essential:

  • Prior Customer Service or Sales Experience.
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in platforms such as Shopify, Gorgias, Monday.com (or other CRM platform, e.g. HubSpot), Slack & Gmail.
  • Fun-loving personality with a passion for making people smile.
  • Strong communication skills and a quirky sense of humour.
  • Solves problems promptly


Preferred:

  • Familiarity with internal customer service process improvement.
