2025 End of Year Wrap

Dearest Smugglers,
As another year of smuggling comes to a close, I’d love to share a few of the highlights of the past 12 months and also touch on one of the saddest moments in our local community’s history.
Some Highlights:
The Horses, Yeah Yeah
We’re huge Dayrl fans… so a collab with the great Darryl Braithwaite to kick off 2025 was a life highlight.
Remote Pools Partnership
We made our largest ever community investment with $100k over 2 x years to help keep pools open and support swimming lessons in remote communities.
Celebrating the Best of Australia & Adventures Around the World
We hit the road with our first interstate shoot in Tassie and first every USA shoot in the desert & the island of Hawaii. We’ve come a long way from website photos against a white wall in the office.
Wallabies Fleece Launch
This has been one of the most loved Budgy Smuggler Items and we were stoked to sell out on launch day. We’ve loved working with the KOKO Lads who have been long time smugglers and feel like brothers of the brand.
Big John to Jack Nowell
In the UK we got to work with some great humans who’ve become like extended family to us. Huge shoutout to Big John and Jack Nowell for their support of the brand.
Baby, baby, baby
The next generation of smugglers is looking strong with team members Milly Mac and George welcoming Paddy and Leo.
UBB x Shoot
We love our home community in Bordeaux & we especially loved bringing the year home with the UBB Fleece.

Boardshort Buy Back
We launched the Aussie summer with our Boardshort Buy Back, collecting over 1,000 pairs of boardies and teaming up with UPPAREL to upcycle them into something better (and more appropriate).

McGrath Foundation
McGrath Foundation
This year, we were proud to continue our support of the McGrath Foundation for a second year, backing the incredible work they do for the cancer community and care nurses.
Some words on Bondi
This time of year is normally a pretty happy one at Budgy as we approach Christmas and the summer arrives in Australia.
This year, the mood is different. Bondi is a special place for us as a brand and for all Australians to come together. We had closed our shop just before the shooting began and we had staff from our HQ office en route to the beach before being turned around as the terrible events unfolded.
We are heart broken. It’s a day we hoped never to see in Australia and I just wanted to share our love for all Australians and our Jewish community.
I hope we can pull together and this is a day we never see again.
Sending everyone our smuggler love,
Linny
