The Race Around Australia: World Record Holders

Cheers to Every State

A world-record challenge where four mates attempt to have a drink in every Australian state within 24 hours, flying across the country on a tight, chaotic schedule. Starting in Tasmania and finishing in New South Wales, it’s a race against the clock filled with airport sprints, no sleep, and six beers in six states in one day.

7:48am: TASMANIA COMPLETED.

Drinks consumed, flight boarded, Melbourne see you soon!

Started strong. First beer outside in Tassie, things feeling civilised. Jumped on 2GB radio for a quick chat before sprinting to the airport.

10:30am: MELBOURNE TOUCHDOWN

Almost missed the flight. Stress levels high. Secured the one and only airport beer. Tommy tried to smuggle a leek and a bag of fruit & veg through security and nearly got us detained

Drinks consumed, yet to board... TBC on that one ☝️

After all that drama, landed in SA and got escorted around like kings. Immediately made to run to the Sir Donald Bradman statue ... Happy vomited after the 300m marathon. Also somehow ended up on Channel 10 smashing a cream bun.

5:30pm: landed at Ocean Beach Hotel. Absolute legends there, made sure we didn’t drink alone. Longest time in one place and absolutely made the most of it.

5:05am we made it to QLD where a limo picked us up. Vibes were high, energy levels were absolutely not. Had a roady, jumped out of the limo, sprinted across the border.

NEW SOUTH WALES FINISH

Met by Linny himself and the Today Show. Crossed the line and finished the record.

FASTER THEN PLANNED. Coming in at

We started as four boys with a slightly concerning idea… and finished as four boys held together by airport beers, blind confidence, and pure delusion.

Somewhere between a near arrest over a rogue leek, a 300m sprint that ended in projectile regret, and being treated like royalty for absolutely no reason, it stopped being about the record.

 It became about the chaos.

The people who showed up.

The strangers who refused to let us drink alone.

The moments that probably shouldn’t have worked… but did. Energy: gone. Dignity: questionable.

Memories: elite.

 23:48:20 later

We didn’t just make it. We sent it.

Those who smuggle together… stay together. 🍻
